Achieves certification as BPAY View elect Bill Serv Provider
HPAL LIMITED 2002-07-04 ASX-SIGNAL-G HOMEX - Sydney
Specialist business process outsourcing company, HPAL Limited (operating as HPA), has added to its suite of electronic billing services with its recent certification as a BPAY View (TM) Bill Service Provider.
HPA successfully achieved all technical requirements for certification as a BPAY View Bill Service Provider in late May and was officially notified by BPAY.
"We congratulate HPA on their certification and look forward to working with them on many successful BPAY View implementations in the future," said General Manager BPAY, Andrew Arnott.
This official recognition builds upon HPA's established reputation as an industry leader in the development of Electronic Bill Payment (EBP) services, through its suite of BillsOnline Services, according to HPA Managing Director, Terry Daly.
"HPA is setting the standard for electronic billing in Australia, with the provision of electronic consolidator billing services, biller direct services and email billing. These services combine seamlessly with our paper and fax delivery outputs so that HPA clients can deliver bills to their customers via their preferred option - all from the same data stream.
"Certification as a BPAY View Bill Service Provider enables us to provide yet another billing option and a competitive advantage for our clients," he said.
The BPAY View certification resulted from HPA's successful implementation of an electronic billing application for a Queensland-based client, Ergon Energy.
HPA worked closely with Ergon Energy over several months to prepare for the launch of its BPAY View application. This application leveraged HPA's extensive experience with electronic bill consolidation services.
As a result of the new service, Ergon Energy customers can now register their preferences to receive and pay Ergon Energy bills using BPAY View, via participating bank web sites.
"The BPAY View facility enables Ergon Energy to offer even greater flexibility and choice to our customers in their bill payment options. HPA consulted with our team to design, develop and implement a solution that links in with our existing business processes and enhances our customer offering," said John Cooling, e-Commerce Manager for Ergon Energy.
"It's a great solution. The HPA team kept us informed and involved at every step and it was a very smooth implementation process," he said.
After a successful live testing period, this service is now available and HPA is currently working with other clients to develop similar BPAY View facilities.
