Westar should be renamed Newstar (but no name change required as that will cost money) as its not the same Westar as before. There's a new sheriff in town and with the looks of things, there seems to be a sense of focus and purpose with what the company is doing.
Why do I say that:
- new CEO, exploration manager and board changes,
- divested non-core projects and just focusing on gold and copper projects,
- focus on supportive jurisdiction and not just any country or projects that come along,
- very careful planning on drilling activities and don't seem to just do things for the sake of doing something,
- careful management of costs it seems as the company still has $2.3 million in cash as at 30 Sep 2024 (very clear on highlighting how much funds are left and at what date).
Just observations from me, of course the real value is unlocked from actual drilling results.
As have been said before, a wonderful asset can turn to dust with bad management, however, wonderful management can create wonderful assets or thereabouts.
Anyhow, an investment in WSR is investing the people that run the show and how they create growth opportunities.
I'm hoping that the next form of funding can come from the options getting exercised before May 2024 (WSRO expiry date) assuming that the share price have move much higher.
