Hi TJ, just though I'd make a contribution over here for the first time. post frequently on another site.
In response to your post it is ny understanding that GE closed down its manufacturing of the sodium metal halide and then purchased lithium ion batteries for their energy storage business. I believe the Schenectady plant makes alot of sense to be the facility magnis are referencing and thought you may consider the Idea that GE may be supplying the facility and expanding to fit the purposes of the consortiums intentions. GE will in return either recieve payment for the consortiums use of the facility through say a lease agreement or discount on product. Would make sense for GE to source their lithium ion batteries from a facility they own rather than externally? Interested in your thoughts
