Whether CO2 can be captured and then converted, economically for such uses is a question that needs to be answered.

"There are so many uses of carbon dioxide. Here are some five uses of carbon dioxide:

    • Carbon dioxide is used as a refrigerant. A refrigerant is a substance that is used in heat pumps and refrigerators to provide cooling.
    • Carbon dioxide is used in the preservation of fruits. In the preservation of fruits, an atmosphere in which there is less oxygen and more carbon dioxide is created. This is the best atmosphere for fruit preservation.
    • Carbon dioxide is used in the preparation of fizzy or carbonated drinks. Some good examples of such drinks include soda water and lemonade.
    • Carbon dioxide is used as a fire extinguisher. It is as a matter of fact the best gas that can be used to extinguish fire. When carbon dioxide is used on fire, because it is more dens than oxygen and because it does not support combustion, it instantly cuts off the air or oxygen supply feeding the fire and kills it.
    • The last but not least use of carbon dioxide is that it is very useful in baking bread. When yeast is mixed with bread dough, carbon dioxide is produced and it in turn produces gaseous bubbles that cause the bread to rise.

There are many more uses of carbon dioxide, but these are some of the most common ones that I could think of immediately."
