Just a genuine question.
Was it a $3000 'discount', or was it that the patient had reached their Medicare Safety Net for the year, and now gets a larger Medicare rebate to offset the cost of the cycle?
From memory.....(long, long time ago), there seemed to be a dip later on in the year in the out of pocket expense, because of the increased Medicare rebate.
(And, unless someone looks at the actual breakdown of the costs/rebates....the patient wouldn't be aware - just that this cycle is 'cheaper')
Anyway, just a thought.
-----
In relation to the dip on Wednesday.....it was a really good, unexpected, early Christmas gift for a buy on open.
I had some buy orders sitting at $0.80, only to be filled at $0.70.
Santa was kind!
