    I am referring to RT and many more.  Government propaganda sites can contain  useful information and "opinion" points but they must be read in the context of opposing "views" ...  In the case of RT readers must know that it will always follow a pro-Putin line. Impartial news it is not .... but I read it to sense tangents and tangent shifts on things such as Syria policy.

    The ABC broadcasts opinions that contradict Government policy beyond what the opposition is saying.

    As always, opinion should be expressed as opinion rather than as historic fact.  Fake news can be something different again .... that is falsehoods pretending to be truth (often in spite of surrounding evidence)..... and given an air of credibility by being immersed in half truths.

    Sadly, there are far too many in the tin foil hat brigade that believe anything posted from some sweaty guy's basement must be the truth if it contradicts what Murdoch is saying.
