AMP Shopping Ctr Trust net profit up 13pc to $70.3

    Sydney - Wednesday - August 7: (RWE) - AMP Shopping Centre Trust lifted net profit 13.4 per cent to $70.32 million in the 12 months to June 30 from $61.99 million for the previous year.

    Revenues were up 8.2 per cent to $140.57 million from $129.93 million.

    Final distribution has been increased from 5.5c to 5.6c, payable on August 22 to unitholders registered June 28.
    This brings payout for the year to 11.1c, up from 11c.

    The trust manager said completed redevelopments, including Garden City, Booragoon and Macquarie Centre, were key income growth drivers, together with Garden City, Kotara.

    It said trading conditions over the year were very positive with portfolio MAT now exceeding $2.9 billion and comparable MAT growth of 4.8 per cent to June 30.
    In particular, discount department stores, supermarkets and fresh food and mini-major categories experienced strong results.

    AMP Shopping Centre Trust fell 1c to $1.35.
