    And my point is that your solution, while it might fit the bill, isn't a realistic one. You couldn't implement your solution until 2040 even if the decision was mate today, meanwhile other technologies are still on the improve. While it's not impossible, I would be very surprised if we will be having this conversation in 2040, making nuclear power redundant in a future energy mix.

    I also don't think that the Government are anti-renewable, but they definitely pro-fossil fuels, and nuclear power sinks that industry just as quickly as renewables will so what are the chances? But I do agree with you that the Government are not serious about going green. AGL is certainly ahead of them.
