al queida attack india

An independent Indian newspaper claims that the real thrust of this so called Al Queida alter is to take the heat of where it is really likely to occur. India!!

If this is true then any attack in India is likely to fan the flames of anti Islamic sentiment in the sub continent which the west is so busily courting and acting like a bucking horse, and become the catalyst for indian involvement in a widening coalition against Iraq which is unlikely anyway.

The other likely scenario is the likihood of Indian troops crossing the LoC (line of control) and giving the Pakis a hiding thrwoing a now reluctant Musharaf out of office throwing the country into further chaos. Then the US will be relieved of their bloody involvement in Afghanistan where they have ben suffering heavy casualties and their position gridlocked and unwinnable in the long term.

More importantly the threat of nuclear war between the two neighbours will take the heat off the British and the US (Australia is not a piddle in world politics to warrant concern) in their growing unpopular position in Iraq.

It is sad indeed that most of these 'credible' threats have found their origins in the US state department or the FBI like the Anthrax scare after September 11th.

There's none more blind than those who will not see.
