This may be a really stupid question but here goes none the less. BPT listed on the ASX in 1972. I've no idea what the IPO price was but it seems, on the face of it, that the current sp of a stock that has been traded for 36 years is low. It may be explained by various things such as new share issues and share splits etc. I just wonder what the actual return per annum is since listing. Don't all jump on me for asking a dumb question
but at 10% your money doubles every 7 years so how does the BPT price compare to that over three and a half decades?. And yes I realise there are dividend payments involved.
