funny how the polls were basically calling it 50:50 - yet the press gallery consensus was that turnbul would have a comfortable win.
maybe the problem for turnbul was that he believed the consensus of the press gallery (probably dominated by group think), so much so, that he ignored the polls. surely if the polls where showing 50:50, he could have been a bit more serious about his campaigning .
obviously more votes to be counted - but the end result will be exceedingly close
