Make a comparison between the BRU's Canning and InterOil's Antelope, currently under takeover.
The takeover tussle pits the two largest producers of crude oil and natural gas in Papua New Guinea, EXXON and Oil Search, over InterOil's Elk-Antelope discoveries, which are found to contain more than 6.2 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
Oil Search, which based in Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea, though it is listed in Australia (ASX; OSH), in May said it had struck a deal with InterOil's board that was at the time worth at least US$2.2 billion. Exxon is currently trying to trump this offer.
Compare:
6.2 trillion cft of gas in the Antelope field for US$2.2billion
against BRU's
47 trillion cft of gas in the Canning for US$ ??? billion
Naturally, infrastructure questions but also geopolitical ramifications have to be considered.
What is BRU's value?
