I am not stating SBB case.
Any CEO and CFO must deposit company money which is not necessary to spend or invest in short term on high interest bank term deposits.
In comparison company owned direct retail business and third party owned or franchisee retail business, the former need a company money and have risks, but the later do not need company money or company can get money as bond or deposit from the retail business owners and have not any risks regarding the retail business.
In my opinion, if there are not any special intentions to give the company money to the present retail business owners,it is not necessary to spend company money to buy third party owned retail business.
When business is going well, company owned retail business is good and maybe makes more profits, but when business is hard,it makes more losses or less profits.
