Institutions usually don't invest in a small cap stock as their relatively high investment standards/requirements. A small cap stock usually doesn't involve much shorting.
For a stock with over $300m market cap, institutions would have to buy especially some index funds, and shorting activities become active.
At some stage, we want all sorts of investors/traders to involve as it's basic of driving by demand vs supply.
Another interesting note, 'we' are more inclined to buy while share price is higher/going up, rather price is lower.
All the above are sort of my observation.
Fundamental sides, I think ARL is offering a compelling reward/risk ratio.
