New Zealand business sentiment falls to two-year low in September - ANZ survey

WELLINGTON, Sept 26 (Reuters) - New Zealand business sentiment fell to its lowest level in two years in September, an ANZ Bank survey showed on Tuesday.

The survey's headline measure showed a net 0 percent of respondents were optimistic about the economy over the year ahead - the lowest level since September 2015. That compared with an 18.3 percent optimism level in the previous survey in August.

While some of the fall could reflect a maturing business expansion, ANZ said it was likely to have been caused by political uncertainty. New Zealand held a general election on Saturday.
