I just thought if communism was going to be an effective solution then wouldn't people that lived there want a say in who leads them under that communist style?" mate - you are saying it again by how you are framing your question --------- seriously - " just thought if communism was going to be an effective solution then wouldn't people that lived there want a say in who leads them under that communist style?" they are YOUR words --------------- your bias is showing more than a bowling ball with a chuck out of it ------- it's effecting you so much - it forms your questions ------------- I can see that - many will see that - you might not be able to see that at this point. now - I have been to a couple of Communist countries - the only one I spent some real time in was Vietnam - I don't know exactly how the system works -- but, it comes right down to local areas - that I do know - and, that individuals in small areas can and are influenced by locals - especially those who are connected to them - that's human nature -- we can all observe that in any system so, people do have a say in almost any system -- the big difference in ANY society - is NOT anything to do with the system -- it matters not a zot if it's communist, socialist, democracy, capitalist, god knows what ------------- what has always mattered and always will matter is the hearts and souls of the people who are in that system and run it every single political system that I'm aware of has had successes and failures what has always been the thing that made systems fail is --------------- poor leadership all systems appear to have good things and bad things - it seems to me that philosophically out of all of those 3 -------- (communist, socialist or democracy)- that the most pragmatic should actually be socialist I don't like the idea of the 'state owning the people' - so, scratch communism I think democracy is fatally flawed because - a. the majority of people in a society are pretty bloody dumb - so, like a computer - if you have shit input - you have shit output - and, when you take that to compulsory voting - it's even worse. Also - in democracy - we have it supposedly where the people get to say what happens -------- BUT, we have leaders ???????? how's that supposed to work??????? - how can one lead when the mob's desires are what is supposed to be? Oh, wait - that's right - a LEADER is supposed to come up with an idea - then, the mob is supposed to say 'oh, what a good idea - we like that one' - and, off we go -- problem - a complex concept - a 50 year plan is just NOT understandable by the populace - they cannot as a rule see beyond the next month - let alone the next year so - scratch democracy Socialist - well - philosophically ------------- where the people own the state ---------- now - that's got a pretty good ring to it for a starting base for me the trick is not the system in that case -----------------it's how you make the system work - it's how the heart of the system works - and PEOPLE - whether they care for each other or not ------------ that's the key to all of that

"democracy is flawed because the majority of people are dumb" so in your view people in socialist countries even though they are as a majority dumb Their "shit leaders" aren't shit. You are saying that the shit for brains doesnt apply with socialism. Why dont socialists in the majority have the dumb streak - please explain.
