If LHG ever gets taken out, that will definately be the time to invest in Gold stocks. i.e good juniors with excellent reserves. WHY? I hear you asking.......well because if you think about it, LHG is actually a high cost producer by comparison, and has little hedging and enormous reserves particularly if gold gets to $350. So if any major decides to take them out, its effectively an endorsement of the general view around now that gold is going much much higher. That is what I would read into a LHG takeover. And if its a North American company that buys LHG, its probably because its a good cheap way for them to cover their short positions which have nortoriously haunted the gold market for years and are now starting to haunt their makers instead!
