City’s largest apartment block with 377 units

    24TH July 2003
W Home, subsidiary of SkyNetGlobal Limited (ASX: SKG), Australia’s leading wireless broadband provider, today announced that it has signed an exclusive agreement with “Peak Apartments” to offer its 377 residential units, wireless broadband connectivity and smart home services.

The Peak Apartment building, located above the Market City Shopping Centre in Sydney’s China Town area, is one the city’s largest residential apartment blocks with 377 units over 53 levels.

W Home’s services will include wireless “WiFi” connectivity, broadband, IP Telephony, home networking, and home security and automation. W Home’s primary service “W Broadband”, offers unlimited broadband access from $29.95 per month for a 64Kps service, to $99.95 for a 512Kps service, and unlike ADSL, does not require a telephone line.

The CEO of SkyNetGlobal, Jonathon Soon said: “The Peak Apartments has been one of W Home’s key target buildings due to its large captive audience and convenient city location. We are very pleased with this achievement and look forward to offering the benefits of wireless living through W Home, to the 1000 plus Peak apartment dwellers.”

This announcement follows W Home’s launch in May 2003 with Hordern Towers, another W Home enabled residential apartment building. W Home plans to enable 10,000 apartments by May 2005. The Peak Apartments will bring W Home’s total enabled apartments to 647.
