Veriluma in an age of uncertainty

While Brexit suggests multiple new opportunities for Veriluma's offering, the Chilcot inquiry (released today) has profound historical and contemporary resonance for Veriluma.

Simon Pope, Audun Jøsang and David McAnally, Veriluma's original patent holders, were preoccupied with the need to avoid the kind of intelligence failures - based on blind belief and misplaced certainty - that led to the 2003 Iraq war. This was their motivation for creating an assessment process that makes it possible for leaders to make objective decisions informed by probable outcomes in conditions of uncertainty (i.e. with limited or suspect information).

While the Chilcot inquiry makes clear the highly politicised nature of the decision by Blair to take the UK to war in Iraq, the findings (Guardian 6 July) that
    and Chilcot's own assessment that
Speak to the two central concerns that the Veriluma tech seeks to address.

The 2003 invasion of Iraq resulted in an estimated 190,000 deaths, a bill (to the US alone) of more than US$2.2 trillion and millions of refugees and displaced peoples.

If 'The Five Eyes' (Aust, Canada, NZ, UK and US intelligence alliance) were to use Veriluma - and give it weight in future deliberations - the tech might help avoid another catastrophic war.

What would that be worth? R-7
