The most recent substantial holder notices have come from UBS and Blackrock with about 6% each. Shorters have to borrow their shares from somewhere, and I guess this is where they get them from. UBS and Blackrock don't care, since they get a fee from the borrowers, the borrowers have to pay them the dividend (if they don't return shares by the ex date, and also the SP has been going up as well (for when they get returned). It's a win win for UBS and Blackrock (but a lose for shorters who have started in the last couple of months). IMO DYOR of course.
