Wednesday's HotCopper trends: Trigg Minerals, Anson Resources, and other daily winners | Sep 24

With more than seven million users on the HotCopper forums, every discussion and speculation can move Australian markets – which is why getting out in front of those trends is so important for any trader worth their salt.

Listen to the HotCopper podcast for in-depth discussions and insights on all the biggest headlines from throughout the week. On Spotify, Apple, and more.

In this daily HotCopper Trends column, we break down the top three stocks talked about on any given trade day, and why they’ve drawn a daily focus.

Trigg Minerals (ASX:TMG) has caught the most attention on HotCopper forums today after landing an Idaho-based pickup. I wrote more about the $4.97M deal here, so go give that a read, but bottom line: It’s a portfolio expansion.

The market originally liked the look of the move and TMG bounced slightly, but heading into the afternoon, the explorer’s down around -2.4%.

(That could easily be because the whole bourse is sagging a lot, though.)

Our next highlight, Anson Resources (ASX:ASN), has defied that red run, however.

By 2pm, the $128M resources company had gained as much as +15.6%, with most liking the big five-year deal Anson signed with South Korean heavyweight LG Energy Solutions. (It notably starts in 2028, I’d add.)

Not to keep throwing you around our HotCopper pages, but my colleague Jonathon Davidson has a good write-up on the whole affair.

And finally, Dreadnought Resources (ASX:DRE) – a long-term fave on the HotCopper forum threads – boosted the Star of Mangaroon resource by 36%. The upgrade was achieved by “adding shallow, high-grade ounces.”

Price-wise, DRE shares joined Anson in defying the overall sentiment, and through arvo trading, the explorer’s shares hit 29 cents a piece.

And then looking wider, the ASX has been down -1% today.

That’s Wednesday’s HotCopper Market Trends, I’m Isaac McIntyre – see you for close.
