WIN Metals (ASX:WIN) is right on the verge of “unlocking the untapped potential” across the broader mineralised system at its Radio gold mine, with first assay results expected shortly as exploration hits the halfway mark.

The explorer has already reeled in several historic high-grade exploration results, which highlighted multiple high-grade gold intercepts at Radio.
These ranged across Radio, Radio South, and Repeater, and included significant intersections, such as five metres at 17.31 grams per tonne gold from three metres, as well as one metre at 52g/t gold from 70 metres.
WIN’s historical findings spotlight the “exceptional potential” at Radio, managing director Steve Norregaard explained – and now they want to prove it, too.
“These impressive grades reinforce the value to be unlocked from our systematic exploration approach,” Mr Norregaard told shareholders on Tuesday, “and further confirm the project’s highly prospective nature.”
“This presents a significant opportunity for WIN Metals to unlock the untapped potential that remains across the broader mineralised system.”
The deposit currently remains open along strike and at depth, with historical drilling – last run between 1918 and 1972, HotCopper would note – only extending 260 metres below surface. A 9,000 metre RC program is planned to test target depths around there to underwrite an MRE update and next mining.
To date, drilling at Radio is halfway done; targeting has been locked on both near-surface and at deeper extensions. The consistency of high-grade intercepts across multiple campaigns “strengthened confidence.”
