- Infini Resources has both uranium and lithium acreage
- Fieldwork will now kick off with a view towards the former asset
- Portland Creek is located in Canada with relevant authorities confirming exploration programs
- The company is accelerating its uranium hunting activities
Infini Resources (ASX:I88) has announced that the uranium section of its portfolio is about to get a lot more attention.
Imminently, fieldwork is to commence on-site its Portland Creek acreage in Canada with a view towards fleshing out an idea of what uranium mineralisation is on-site.
Notably, the Talus prospect will take up most of the uranium team’s attention.
The company has been dual focused on lithium and uranium but now turns its attention to the latter amidst no shortage of macro headwinds for the battery metal.
Field crews will be on-site to commence sampling, weather permitting, with the company accelerating activities in this department.
A magnetic geophys survey is in the works with the team fully able to move forward after no sensitive traditional sites were found within the boundaries of the exploration area.
“The Company is now aggressively pursuing its exploration efforts at T1-T8 with a field crew currently being mobilized to site to undertake initial reconnaissance and potential sampling,” Infini CEO Charles Armstrong said.
“The Talus prospect remains the key focus of any ongoing field activities where high-grade grab samples coincident with a massive U/Th anomaly suggest the potential for an undiscovered uranium deposit.”
Armstrong reflected on the relatively rapid pace of regulatory approvals to move on-site with uranium a critical mineral in Canada’s eyes.
