ASX200 futures were flat near 8.30am AEDT up 0.02 per cent suggesting the Aussie bourse could go either way.
The US markets were shut overnight but perhaps more importantly, we’ve heard from BHP, and it’s posted the worst profit result in nearly a decade.
Yikes. Then again, people love our biggest miner – maybe it’ll finish off the day green. Hard to tell with the big ones, sometimes.
Oh, and remember bitcoin? That’s back up, too. Can’t believe I’m writing that.

Winsome Resources (WR1) has issued an update on its ore.
The update relates to feedstock from Adina.
The company has called metallurgical test results “exceptional.”
Shares last at 77.5c.
Enova Mining (ENV) is out with an update, or rather, a trading halt.
Enova looks set to offer shareholders another portfolio addition.
A “potential acquisition of a mineral project” will be annoiunced by Thursday.
Shares last at 3c.
Cyprium Metals (CYM) has issued an announcement as part of a JV.
This relates to the Heeler Prospect.
The company says it’s stumbled upon high-grade copper.
Shares last at 1.8c.
Helix Resources (HLX) has made a similar announcement.
The company has inked three copper targets on-site its own play.
Those targets are now fast-tracked for drilling.
Shares last at 0.3cps.
Nickelx (NKL) is the latest microcap to pivot into uranium.
Given tanking nickel prices, it’s probably not surprising.
The nickel explorer says it’s got significant uranium mineralisation at Elliot Lake.
