Thanks for this. This is a presentation from Talison which I suspect they wanted to do the process themselves (and probably something they were proposing to do before been taken pver back in the early 2010s. Since that time, I suspect this is an old presentation, i.e. just by looking at the dates in it, the two JV partners in Talison (been Tianqi and Albermale) have gone their own way and doing their own thing in relation to moving to produce hydroxide from Talison's spodumene feedstock.
The link didn't work so I just googled and found it using this - 1st link:
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=lithium+sulphate+talison%27s
Now, looking at Albermale's proposal for Kemerton, it would appear to me the picture given in theearlier link stops at item 7 to 8 on page 12 of this below link. Hydroxide starts after step 9 in the link, noting the schematic on page 13 is hard to read.

Going to Tianqi's proposal, it follows something similar to Albermale's proposal, and I note this comment as well (page 7):
""The by-products from this process are;• Approximately 88,500 tpa of sodium sulphate will be produced for export and used in formulating detergent powder." This accords with the wikipedia definition of sodium sulphate as well - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_sulfate
I personally think that NF is not talking about the Talison process in your link, because if he is it would appear too me to be an incomplete process for producing hydroxide, given the Talison proposed plant in the early 2010s was more about producing lithium carbonate from the schematic by the looks of it than hydroxide, and things moved on when Tianqi and Albermale (the JV partners decided to do their own thing). Suspect, as per my earlier post he might be referring to something else when he says sulphate but what is in his head is anybodies guess, or maybe I just don't understand the process from moving from lithium carbonate to lithium hydroxide monohydrate etc.
Now my computer is fixed after the misadventure of VB - actually now works which has shocked me.
I talked about the power needs of hydroxide facilities in this post a while back if people are interested - Post #: 34065231 and Post #: 34114641
Too many posts from me today so enough from me today and the rest of the week. Need a beer.
