My regrets to youif my line follows a similar path to Snooker, but this is the line that I follow.

As to share trading, you may recall from your Fallguy days when Arthur tried to encourage the so called "wallflowers" to participate.

Not only do they not disccuss share trading, they sit there and watch, mute.

Does that mean any or all of them may be Snooker, or myself simply because Snooker according to you does not trade or that I do not trade, at least to your knowledge?

Rest assured, I read most of the ASX forum posts. In that aspect, I am content to be regarded as one of the "wallflowers".

In matters relating to what I have posted below, I intend to post balanced views when I have the time.

    First Annual Washington Briefing

    February 7, 2003

The Stand for Israel campaign is proud to announce its first annual Washington Briefing, scheduled for April 2nd in Washington DC. This gathering includes influential Christian and Israeli leaders who will come together to discuss issues facing Israel and recognize the leadership of Majority Leader Tom DeLay and Congressman Tom Lantos in standing up for Israel. To reserve a place at the SFI Washington Briefing click here. To view a list of hotels in the area, click here.

Joining our conference in DC will bring you in touch with those who are working on the front lines to support Israel. You'll hear from influential Christians, Congressmen, Senators, Administration officials and Israeli representatives in an intimate setting where you'll hear first-hand what is being done, both in the U.S. and abroad, to defend the Israeli nation. Invited speakers include Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon, Pastor John Hagee, former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani, House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, Congressman Tom Lantos, Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Daniel Ayalon, Israeli Foreign Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, Elliott Abrams of the National Security Council, and many others. You'll also gain specific tools and ideas for taking action at home in your parish. Further, you'll have the opportunity to meet and interact with other Christian supporters of Israel like you from around the country in an exchange of ideas and fellowship. This is the one event this year that supporters of Israel who truly desire to take action should not miss.

Christians are playing a growing role in the survival of the State of Israel. That's why we're inviting supporters like you to join us for this special event. Last year, millions of American Christians participated in the Stand for Israel campaign. From signing our petition to Congress, to receiving daily updates from the Rabbi in Jerusalem, to our historic Day of Prayer for Israel -- all of these actions sent a clear message that American Christians are standing firmly behind Israel.

Why such a strong show of support?

Because Christians know the importance of defending Israel and fighting terrorism. The Bible admonishes us to "pray for the peace of Jerusalem." (Psalm 122:6). That's why we stand together with Israel in our fight against the terrorist alliance - the same alliance that attacked America on September 11, 2001.

Since then, American Christians have helped to construct a bulwark against anti-Israel sentiments in the U.S. and a host of other threats to freedom loving democratic governments around the world. However, the ongoing murder of innocent civilians across the globe, and especially in Israel, is a clear signal that our work is far from complete. And it is for that reason that your participation in the SFI Washington Briefing is crucial.

The Washington Briefing will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday April 2nd, with the Israel Policy Briefing at the Mayflower Hotel. The Briefing continues with the Congressional Reception, at 6:15 PM and will conclude with the "Friend of Israel" Awards Banquet. The recipients for this year's inaugural event are House Majority Leader Tom DeLay and California Congressman Tom Lantos. Majority Leader DeLay and Congressman Lantos have already confirmed that they will be there in person to accept their "Friend of Israel" Award and to thank you for your support of Israel. The following morning we will hold a seminar on how to build grassroots support for Israel in your community.

To attend the Stand for Israel Washington Briefing, we ask only your commitment of friendship and a minimal conference fee of $49 for the briefing, or $99 for both the briefing and the banquet. Please click here to reserve your spot at the conference and see the link below for a list of hotels in the DC area. While other groups have requested literally thousands of dollars to participate in activities at this level, we feel your support is so important to the survival of Israel that we're asking only for the conference fee.

It is our sincere hope that you will take advantage of this unique opportunity. As the enemies of Israel and the United States continue their campaign of terror, your friendship and support is more important than ever. In spite of the relentless attacks on innocent civilians -- including women and children -- the people of Israel continue to persevere. They do so in faith and in the knowledge that you are standing up for them here in the United States.

An integral part of Stand for Israel’s mission is to advance support for the state of Israel and raise awareness about the threat of global terrorism faced here in the United States, in Israel, and throughout the world.

On May 2, 2002 the United States House of Representatives reflected this kind of support and passed a resolution expressing solidarity with the people of Israel in their fight against terrorism, H. RES. 392. This compelling initiative expressed in words what was in the hearts of many Americans and supporters of Israel: that both nations are locked in a struggle to fight terrorism and the United States stands firmly alongside Israel as it takes necessary steps to provide security to its people by dismantling the terrorist infrastructure in the Palestinian areas. The resolution was passed overwhelmingly, 352 to 21 and was led by now House Majority Leader Tom DeLay and Congressman Tom Lantos.

To continue this kind of support by our elected officials, Stand for Israel is promoting a similar Resolution to State Legislatures; please click here to view a version of the Model State Resolution. It is our hope that all State Houses throughout the nation will rise to the occasion and stand behind Israel in its struggle to defeat terrorism.

Terrorism has brought a tragic end to the lives of too many innocent victims here in our country and in Israel; it is incumbent upon us to communicate a message of awareness and solidarity to our elected leaders. If you are willing to contact your state legislator and ask for their support is passing this resolution, please send us an email at [email protected]. Thank you for your support and commitment to Israel
