The Company focuses on medical research and development. It is engaged in developing a treatment for fibrosis and high blood pressure, which includes the treatment for diseases in the fibrotic market, namely heart, kidney, and liver diseases. Its compound, VB0004, focuses on treating the hardening of functional tissue and high blood pressure. It also focuses on developing candidates for the treatment of fibrotic liver diseases, including non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) as well as pulmonary fibrotic diseases. The Company has also developed technology focused at improving the speed and accuracy of measuring the amount of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and ribonucleic acid (RNA) in samples tested in laboratories. Accugen is a platform, developed by its wholly owned subsidiary, Accugen Pty Limited, comprising of reagents, and software that quantitate polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) reactions.More
