Major contract win and first whole-of-city application

ASX Announcement 17 December 2018

Highlights

  • Major ‘smart city’ related project in Kuwait
  • $1.2m total contract value (TCV) over 3 years
  • Adds $265,000 to the Group’s Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR)
  • First large-scale roll-out of Envirosuite’s new proprietary E-noses
  • Significant potential for further contracts with Kuwait EPA
  • Builds on Envirosuite’s presence in the Middle East

Envirosuite Limited (the “Company” or “Group”) is pleased to announce a material contract win in relation to a smart-cities project with the Kuwait Environment Public Authority (K-EPA) to provide a city-wide odour monitoring and management system. The contract is the Group’s first whole-of-city application as well as the first sale of Envirosuite’s new E-nose sensors.

K-EPA will utilise Envirosuite’s solution to drive improved methods and outcomes for identifying, analysing and responding to odour issues and general air quality management for the benefit of its citizens in the state of Kuwait.

The 3-year contract includes the provision of a network of ninety of Envirosuite’s proprietary new E-nose sensors tuned to identify client-specific categories of odour that feed data into Envirosuite’s Environmental Compliance and Incident Intelligence solutions. The project continues the trend of clients looking for a full end-to-end service (“Solution as a Service”) including the software platform bundled with appropriate hardware.

The ARR includes the on-going provision and maintenance of the hardware and software solution and the majority of the balance of the TCV is received upfront on delivery of the equipment.

K-EPA has advised that this contract is only considered as an initial phase and a significant expansion is anticipated in the medium-term subject to the success of this project.

Envirosuite Limited Chief Executive Officer, Peter White said,

“We’re very pleased to have been awarded this initial implementation of our solution in a major smart cities project. We look forward to working with K-EPA on their project to deliver our world-leading solution for the management of odour issues across Kuwait city and surrounding regions.

Envirosuite is in an excellent position to become a leading supplier of air quality solutions to smart-city projects globally and we are already receiving in-bound enquiries from other regions, including South America, for similar smart-city projects.”

In accordance with ASX GN8 for LRs 3.1-3.1B, the Company further advises that there is no other material information or conditions to be satisfied in relation to this contract win.

Cerrejon Mine becomes Envirosuite’s largest mining client

ASX Announcement 11 October 2018

Highlights

  • Envirosuite has received a significant upgrade order from BHP (ASX:BHP) joint venture, Cerrejon, an existing mining client in Latin America
  • Two additional solutions with a total value of approximately AUD $600,000
  • Flagship client for South America and the mining sector globally
  • Envirosuite capitalising on growing demand for its solutions in Latin America, establishing sales presence in Colombia to complement the Chilean team.

11 October 2018 - Environmental management technology company Envirosuite Limited (ASX:EVS) (‘Envirosuite’ or ‘the Company’) is pleased to announce that it has received a significant upgrade order from Carbones del Cerrejon (‘Cerrejon’), a joint venture owned by BHP Billiton (ASX:BHP), Glencore (LSE:GLEN) and Anglo American (LSE:AAL).

Cerrejon is the biggest coal mine in Latin America and the 10th largest coal mine in the world.

Envirosuite has received a purchase order (PO) for two additional solutions as well as associated equipment and installation and maintenance services. The new solutions are the Blasting solution and Water Monitoring solution and the total PO value is approximately $600,000 including an incremental recurring revenue fee of approximately $160,000.

Cerrejon operates an integrated facility consisting of a large, open cut coal mine, a railway to transport coal to its port, and a port for exporting coal. Envirosuite has supplied both the mine and port facilities with the Environmental Compliance and Risk Management solutions for the past two years. This has mainly been used to manage the compliance performance and risk of dust and air pollution caused by the mining and port operations.

To allow it to better service Cerrejon and other local mining companies, Envirosuite has established a Colombian entity and is investing in a local office. The Company will address the Latin American mining market from both its Chilean and Colombian offices.

Environmental solutions for compliance and enhanced community relations

Envirosuite’s cutting-edge environmental solutions will enable Cerrejon to meet its increasing regulatory commitments and assist in its desire to improve its relationship with the community through improved management processes.

The Blasting solution will be used for simulating and managing the environmental impact of Cerrejon blasting activities, including airblast overpressure, ground vibration and flyrock. Through the Envirosuite platform, the mining operations will use predictive models to support the planning of blasting activities, as well as monitoring equipment to measure any potential impacts during the blasting events. This will assist the mine in meeting its new regulatory requirement for its operational licence which mandates that blast monitoring equipment and a management system be adopted.

The Water Monitoring solution is an extension of the Environmental Compliance solution and it enables Cerrejon to manage the real-time monitoring of water quality and run off from the mine. The continuous surface water monitoring is an enhancement to ensure the compliance limits at the mine’s discharge points are met.

Envirosuite CEO Peter White said: “We are delighted with this upgrade which follows a year’s worth of consultation provided by Envirosuite and which now makes Cerrejon our largest mining client. Cerrejon is a cornerstone reference client in Latin American mining circles and has been working hard to adopt global best-practice in its environmental management practices. Our association with Cerrejon and increased presence means we are very well placed to build up our base of mining clients in the region.”

Thames Water to Present Successes of Using Envirosuite at Global Conferences

Press Release 14 August 2018

Tuesday, August 14, 2018 - Environmental management technology company Envirosuite Limited (ASX:EVS) (‘Envirosuite’ or ‘the Company’) will be included in a case study presented by Thames Water in two upcoming conferences.

Thames Water will be presenting how it has successfully used Envirosuite for odour management at the 6th International Conference on Environment Odour Monitoring & Control in Italy and the AquaEnviro: Recent Advances in Odour Control Technologies Conference in the UK. Both conferences are being held in September and will be attended by key Envirosuite staff. Envirosuite’s General Manager of Europe Chaim Kolominskas will co present at the event in Italy.

“Having Thames Water present the success it has had with Envirosuite is a major validation of the effectiveness of our solutions,” Envirosuite CEO Peter White said. “These conferences will be attended by managers from UK and European water utility companies and industrial odour experts from all over the world. Many of the attendees will be new or potential clients.”

Thames Water will present a scientific paper that shows how Envirosuite is improving odour performance by using real-time monitoring of hydrogen sulphide and predictive weather modelling of odour risk and plant performance.

Following an initial commercial trial which completed in mid-2017, Thames Water has committed to using Envirosuite at a total of five sites. Thames Water is currently managing the performance of a recently upgraded Sewage Treatment Works and is aiming to reduce the number of properties in the area affected by odour by more than 99 per cent.

“We are very pleased to see that the UK’s largest water utility has been able to minimise odour impact on surrounding communities through the use of Envirosuite’s solutions,” Mr White said. “I’m sure that many of the conference attendees will be interested in hearing how they can also implement our solutions to achieve similar results.”

In addition to Thames Water, Envirosuite has won a number of contracts in the wastewater industry including trials with an additional two major UK water utilities, Welsh Water and Southern Water.  Both of these utilities are now trialing the Envirosuite solution (Environmental Compliance, Impact Management and Incident Intelligence).  If these trials are successful, then there is potential for the solution to be rolled out to multiple sites in both of those utilities, similar to the process seen at Thames Water.

“Wins in the UK, Europe, North America and the Middle East this year show that Envirosuite is a natural fit within the wastewater industry,” Mr White said. Odour issues currently have a very high priority with regulatory authorities and these conferences and wins show the growing recognition and adoption of Envirosuite in this important sector.”

Envirosuite Wins Latin American Market Accelerator Program Award

Press Release 10 August 2018

Friday, August 10, 2018 - Environmental management technology company Envirosuite Limited (ASX:EVS) (‘Envirosuite’ or ‘the Company’) has won Australian-Latin American Market Entry Accelerator Program awards in both the Water Tech and People’s Choice categories.

Launched in late 2017, the LatAm accelerator program offers mentoring, introductions and pitching opportunities to assist Australian companies in exporting successfully to the Latin American market. The program invited 10 Australian companies to participate in a six-month mentoring program followed by a business pitch contest in Chile in April of this year.

Accelerator program founder John O’Brien said the Latin American market has many similarities to Australia and that judges looked for Australian technology companies with the greatest chance of building significant export markets in Latin America.

“This program offers immense opportunities in a market environment that is often overlooked,” Mr O’Brien added.

Envirosuite is already working with a range of high-profile companies in Australia including Veolia, Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton and last month secured its first contracts in Chile through its recently established Chilean office.

Peter White, CEO of Envirosuite, said the award win would help springboard the company into the Latin American market.

“This win in the accelerator program means we will receive further support to help us take our world-class product to Latin American companies. We signed our first two Envirosuite clients in Chile earlier this month, and we’re very excited about building this new market further,” Mr White said.

Envirosuite software enables companies to carry out real-time environmental monitoring and management so that they can meet their environmental obligations, minimise risk, and optimise their performance.

The Company’s first Latin American contract was with Chilean agriculture company and one of the world’s largest producers of poultry, Sopraval S.A. Envirosuite’s technology is being installed at five of Sopraval’s turkey farm sites to monitor environmental conditions and anticipate and manage impacts. The second contract is with Chilean agricultural giant Agrosuper. Envirosuite’s compliance and impact modelling solutions are being deployed across multiple Agrosuper sites.

The Australian-Latin American Market Entry Accelerator Program is supported by the Australian Government through the Council on Australia Latin America Relations. Staff from Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ), the Queensland Government’s global business agency are now working with Envirosuite to identify additional potential Latin American clients.
