I don't feel that the shorts are a problem and I agree that in a way they are an asset that will boost the stock price at some point. I only use the short interest as a gauge of negative sentiment and their view of the companies future prospects of success. I certainly don't see the downside that they see, but i do think that they have been able to manipulate the SP. It seems that at this stage in Unilife's development shorting the stock is a risky way to make money. Following the recent Sanofi agreement I was sure that the shorts would see Unilife as a company well on it's way to growing revenue and profitability and that they would begin to exit their positions.
