I know I've been careful this year but was surprised to see so many shops with sales on all year.
I've just heard on the news that 1 in 7 families in Sydney are living below the poverty line. Is this true?
A shocking thing to hear. I had noticed quite a few for sale signs in more upper crust areas of Sydney the last time I was there but building seems to be going okay if not big in other areas.
What is going on in other States? I was thinking of a young couple today that moved here and we
helped out. They both lost their jobs within months of each other and had to move again. I heard from
them not long ago. They wanted to go back to Queensland and the property they were renting there
hadn't sold in over a year so the estate agent said 'come back anytime'. They found NSW over inflated
in almost everything. The 3rd couple we've had from Queensland that didn't stay. A lot of our friends in
Sydney are making plans to move soon though.
