SYR might be able to compete with coal in the carbon market due to the V2O5 credits. As for batteries, I tend to think forget it - the technologies are moving faster than it is possible for mines to begin production (esp in the 3rd world). And even if the mines get going first, at some near point non-graphite battery technology will overtake them. Other traditional and emerging uses - count on maybe 5% p.a. growth at best.
SYR could take the risk to set up a shop-front global monopoly at the port. Looks feasible, but it will be one hell of a feat to pull it off.
