Overnight West Texas Intermediate crude skidded to a 17-month low.
WTI for November delivery declined 0.5% to close at US$90.73 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.Brent crude dropped to the lowest level in more than two years after Saudi Arabia trimmed its November official selling prices to all areas.
Brent for November settlement fell 0.5% to US$94.17 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange at 2:41 p.m. in New York.
Saudi Arabian Oil Co. trimmed its benchmark Arab Light prices to customers in Asia, Europe and the U.S.
