    The reason we pay extra for the Mustang is:
    (a) Australian Design Rules (ADRs) prevent us from importing this car directly from the USA
    (b) Australian Luxury car tax
    (c) Shipping, insurance , Australian Wharf Charges, Customs charges, 5% import duty, AQIS charges
    Importer/distributor margins and dealer margin (3 times that of a US dealer)

    In summary, the market here is controlled by our Government to benefit The Government,Ford and its Aussie
    Dealer network. We are exposed to the downside of Globalisation but we don't have access to the upside, thanks
    tp our Government and the influence of Multinationals on it.
