FIVE men are in custody after police launched counter-terrorist raids across Melbourne in the early hours of this morning.
Seven search warrants and around 200 police officers were involved in the raids.
Police believe they foiled an ‘imminent’ terrorist plot targeting officers at ‘Anzac events’.
At a joint Victoria Police and Australian Federal Police press conference this morning police said they believed the group were not working in conjunction with other organization but were “Isis inspired”.
What I am very concerned about is the great lengths that the police went to in their explanation that there is no religious component to these threats.
This is only hours after the arrests and even before they have conducted an inquiry
Why is it so important that the police have to be politicians rather sticking to the facts
If the politicians want to push the multiculteral dream boat OK, but let the police do their jobs without interference
