    The best thing would be for anyone who can't work out whether nitric acid reacts at 90C to put forward their reasons why not. A little bit of research would easily show that it couldn't be much higher. I thought that each phase had two kilns? Four in total? And if they did only run at 90C the warm up cool down times would be very low. But we're running ahead of things here, I don't know the reaction times for nitric acid with the REE compounds, UCore are running it as a batch process atm, maybe it doesn't need the complication of the kilns at all. And possibly the refractory of the kilns would need replacing for nitric acid.

    Using $23m kilns when a large, glass lined tank with a stirrer in the bottom is a much cheaper option ....
