    Exercise should certainly be part of our healthy life, it's beneficial effects show in almost every part of the body, it even helps stave off osteoporosis [thinning of the bone] although they say "weight bearing exercise" there.

    But I agree with the article Watso linked. Even those doctors with a different opinion didn't say exercise alone could keep weight down, they defended exercise because it is good for you. The editorial and Dr Wright are BOTH right.

    Ian Wright, director general at Food and Drink Federation, said: "The benefits of physical activity aren't food industry hype or conspiracy, as suggested. A healthy lifestyle will include both a balanced diet and exercise." [My bold]
