    As far as tarring afl and NRL with the same brush as cycling, I think ur greatly mistaken.

    The Afl and NRL drugs "needling regime" was clearly naive coaches putting too much trust and faith in one bloke.

    Wherever there is a career to be made in sport, there will always be individuals pushing the envelope. Most NRL and afl players caught up in this did not do so with the intention of "doping". On the whole, the injections were totally natural and not unlike getting a flu or vitamin shot. People hear the word "injection" and think the worst. It was no different to us taking supplements on a daily basis, but injecting them works better.

    Sport will always have blokes like the Collongwood players rolling the dice. But, there is a huge risk if being caught.
