    I agree, I am one of those old blighters, a not particularly wealthy self funded retirees who can afford to live comfortably but not lavishly on my pension and want to stay that way. Taxing a pension at 15% on top of the 15%+ tax on inputs as well as the former super surcharge and the ALP/Greens tax on lump sum inputs would be somewhat bizarre but probably no more bizarre than other changes introduced by this and other governments. Maybe it is wishful thinking but I feel changes to people already on a pension are unlikely. However, anyone over the eligibility age who is not drawing a pension probably should seriously consider doing so.

    Changes will come and I expect they will come without any modelling of impact such as looking at how many people will move onto the AP. This lack of modelling will be just like the health and education changes. I am getting well and truly tired of thought bubble policy.
