    I totally agree - and anyone who reads the link will know it is not an advert.  The only reason it was ever seen on ERJ is because I was forced to post a stock code to get it on the Energy forum.  I chose ERJ at least because - as you say - they are green - and somewhat interested in a gridfeed energy system.

    For those remotely interested, a US company is proposing a solution where folks can buy a solar array for feed into the grid. Even if you don't own a roof it is an invetment proposition, as they will host the arrays in a company managed solar farm.  I don't know about the figures - they refer to a panel life of 25 years - Do they even last that long? I think they also degrade over time.  And in a few years I expect that the efficiency of panels will be way better than now.

    But the concept of a managed solar farm where panels are privately owned is something that is both novel and affordable.
